well, i had the "happy holidays" aol virus thingy. the way i fixed it was, first i hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and i ended the process labeled "av.exe". afterwards, i went to the start menu and went to search, then query that i put in the search thing was "av.exe". i believe i came up with 2 or so files, one actually labeled "av.exe" or so, and the other was something with "av.exe" then a bunch of numbers or letters or both after that, and i deleted those 2 files, then i deleted them from recycling bin. after that, i'm not sure if i restarted comp or not, it may help, but i got rid of it somehow. hope this helps a little.
